twin-FAST®
Our alternative to welding
This is an innovative fastening process we have developed and refined for your benefit. It allows cold-formed fasteners to be joined to sheet metal or plastic components of any geometry and thickness by means of a form-fit joint, also where welding is not possible or not desired. And it works regardless of the fastener design – whether internal and/or external thread, steel or aluminium. This makes it a highly cost-effective alternative to conventional welded joints.

Process sequence
1. Positioning of the sheet metal component(s) in a fixture, as well as automatic feeding of the twin-FAST® components and their positioning in the flow-forming die.
2. A press punch drives the twin-FAST® component into the forming die, upsetting the double flange.
3. The twin-FAST® double flange is fully formed and the process is complete. The finished component is automatically ejected from the forming die.
