Since its founding by Ernst E. Fastenrath in 1909, FASTENRATH Befestigungstechnik GmbH has developed into a leading manufacturer of complex cold-formed metal components. With sites in Plettenberg and Westerburg, we are ideally positioned to meet the diverse requirements of our customers.

Our Plettenberg site
This is where the story of our company began. With a modern high-bay warehouse, providing around 3,500 pallet spaces since 1999 and another 5,000 spaces since 2023, we have created the foundation for just-in-time deliveries. Our fully automated packaging system increases daily output while also improving working conditions. Our main administrative building was comprehensively modernised in 2014, and in 2015 we acquired additional industrial land to secure future growth.

Our Westerburg site
We have modernised and expanded our Westerburg site on an ongoing basis. Since 2002, our toolmaking department has been equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including sinker EDM machines and CNC hard turning systems. The first six-stage cold forming press was commissioned in 2003, followed in 2007 by an extension of the production hall by 2,000 m². A new cold forming press with 650 tonnes of press force was installed in 2008, followed by a further 700-tonne press in 2012. The expansion of production and storage areas by an additional 2,000 m² in 2011 further increased our capacity.
